About Me
Hello,
My name is Samantha, and I am a senior in high school. At my high school, I am involved in a program that allows me to intern under someone in my career field of choice. The career that interests me is physical therapy, and I aspire to be a pediatric physical therapist one day. During two days of my typical school week, I intern at a physical therapy clinic. I wash and fold towels and pillow cases, clean the patient's beds, prepare hot and cold packs for the patients, set up exercise equipment for the patients, and I administer a few exercises with the patients (under the physical therapist's direct supervision of course). In hopes to expand my knowledge of this extraordinary career field, I have researched the different methods of treatment used in physical therapy, and along the way, I have discovered the importance of having a smooth transition from pediatric therapy to adult therapy (being that throughout the year, I switched my mentorship from a pediatric clinic to a clinic for all ages). I hope that you enjoy navigating through my website and even learn a new thing or two. Thanks, Samantha |
